Once a spotlight shines on putting food on people's plates, next spotlight shines on the quality of the ingestion. Is the United Nations definition realistic to an estimated 630,000,000 malnourished on the planet under an existing economic scheme based on taxation upon the person and the amounts of national debt those taxes are attached or secured by?
Intent of the Program: is to help the professional or student gain advanced insights on the complexities involved in feeding a nation of people and assuring those options encourage health of the human being.
Solving a Problem: the ideas of growing plants for food is a respected venture but the math to determine project feasibility tells another story. And, one needs to get the math right based on what could, should, may, might and likely will happen. Because of stressed agricultural lands, sustainable alternatives of edible plant production systems are critical to the future health and survival of humanity. The impacts along the global edible plant supply chain will be explored, while uncovering trends, opportunities and innovations towards new world solutions.
Filling a Huge Knowledge Gap: there is a huge knowledge gap that exists between our ingestions and the quality of human life experience. The content helps close the gap by detailing the relationship humans have with edible plants and offering insights on what "food security" really means from different stakeholder perspectives.
Value Proposition: the attendee will be championed with a greater understanding of the operations around the production of edible plants for food, the supply chain and the future landscape of feeding a growing population, sustainably and through choices that guide that way of thinking and being.
Program Offerings: the content and curriculum has been developed as part of a plant phytochemical research project on edible plants and the design of the business plan, risk assessment and feasibility study of one of the largest upcoming vertical farming operations in the world.
